Meet Chris...

Christopher John Rizzotti, is a lifelong Burbank resident who has built a strong business in the city he loves. With a passionate desire to serve his community, Chris was appointed to the Burbank City Planning Board in 2013 and currently works steadfastly as Chairman of the Planning Board to preserve Burbank’s unique character while still affording residents beneficial development opportunities. He believes that working together, as vested citizens, elected officials, and city staff it allows for the greatest impact on the whole.

As a witness to Burbank’s transformation from the aviation hub of the world to the world’s media capital, I understand the importance of honoring our past while embracing the future. I’m the bridge connecting Burbank’s rich history with innovative spirt needed for tomorrow. By leveraging our community’s collective wisdom, we can shape a future that preserves what we love about Burbank while adapting to the challenges and opportunities ahead

For more than a decade Chris has formed countless relationships with members of the greater Burbank community as a committed broker and owner of Rizzotti Real Estate. Named Realtor of the Year by the Burbank Association of Realtors in 2013 and President of the Association’s Community Service Foundation, Chris was also elected Association President in 2012 and Vice-President in 2011. As President, Chris was the driving force in securing financing and overseeing construction and installation of an elevator in the Association’s headquarters. Following a conversation with a senior member facing resignation because he could no longer ascend the building’s stairs, Chris was resolute in his commitment to get the job done. After five decades of discussion and inaction around the project Chris rode to the top with his colleagues. He believes the elevator honors the Association’s aging members and members with disabilities. It remains one of his greatest achievements as Association President. Being able to meet the needs of others and finding the resolve and desire to make the project happen was very satisfying to Chris.

A proud Burbank resident, Chris Rizzotti is committed to ensuring his city remains the standard other communities aspire to.

Our Mission

Chris has also served as Director of the California Association of Realtors in 2012 and 2011, and has been the recipient of numerous accolades over the years for outstanding achievement and service. In 2017 Chris received the prestigious Cunningham Community Service award and in 2023 received the Lifetime Achievement Award.  Close to his heart as an entrepreneur himself, Chris has tremendous passion for small business ownership and development and spends much of his time giving back and guiding peers. His tireless commitment to service was recognized early in his career when Chris worked as a licensed insurance broker. He received the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Outstanding Achievement Award and was named Affiliate of the Year by the Latin American Insurance Agents Association. He is proud of these accomplishments and the many acknowledgements since.

Dedication to his profession is matched only by his devotion to the Burbank community, Chris has long championed issues of civic, social, and personal import to him. Because of his belief that investing in education and our Burbank Schools is the single most important thing we can do as a community. Chris was asked to be on a small select core team for the successful Measure S ballot initiative (bond for Burbank Schools). He has and continues to serve on the boards and committees of various non-profits and organizations including the CSF Burbank Bike Angels, Burbank Airport Study Group, Burbank YMCA, Burbank Disaster Council, Burbank Police Foundation, Family Promise, Burbank Charter Review Committee Chair, St. Joseph’s Medical Center, and Mc Cambridge Park War Memorial.  Chris also graduated in 2009 from Leadership Burbank.

Nobody will work harder or longer to achieve this end. It would be his great honor and sincere privilege to represent the citizens of Burbank as a City Councilmember.
